SLJ Tuesday December 29 task 1

This is my UV indicator.  When it is sunny the weatherman tells us the UV number for the day.  This tells us the level of dangerous sunburn we could get.  Green is level 1 and 2 and this is ok, not much sunburn.  Purple is higher than 11 and you need full protection from the sun and you should probably just stay inside in the middle of the day.

  1. Kia ora Hayley,

This is an awesome UV indicator! Thank you for sharing. I especially like the colours and that the times of day are included. The smiley face system makes it really clear. Ka pai!

It’s so great that you have a clear understanding of sun protection. It is so easy to get sunburnt in NZ!

Growing up, my family had a swimming pool but my Mum was worried about sunburnt so she would let us swim in the pool at night, under the stars! It was so much fun.

How do you stay safe from the sun?

    Keep up the good work!

    Charlotte
