SLJ Friday December 18 task 1

This is my Haiku poem. I wrote this because  I was thinking of the summer for me. I liked reading the examples, they gave me the ideas.

  1. Hi Hayley! My name is Mia from Yaldhurst Model School, I am a participant of the Summer Learning Journey. Awesome work! I really like your Haiku poem. I like the way you have added in your feelings as well.

The beach really does tie in with summer doesn't it? It's a place where lots of people go during the summer. Although, I didn't write my Haiku poem about the beach, I wrote it about a summer morning. What is your favourite activity to do during summer?

It's hard to think of things to improve on. Maybe, you could have a go at making your own picture, using google drawings!

    Keep up the blogging!
    Mia

  2. Kia Ora Hayley,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.

I really enjoyed this activity as I love poetry and writing Haikus for my friends, I usually write a Haiku in their birthday cards!

Your haiku is great and you followed the haiku rules well with the 5, 7,5 syllables so great job with that. I love the summer theme with the haiku and the summer background.

To step up your work you could include a few more haikus to your post or even better record yourself reading them aloud and post the recording!

Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Zana Yates

  3. Thank you both,
I love to go swimming and play with my dogs in the summer. We haven't had that much sun this summer but i am hoping to have more so its warmer to swim in. I like swimming with my friends.

    Hayley:)
