Here is one of my favourite summer places close to where I live. It is the Hokitika Gorge. I like taking my friends or family members there if they come and visit. The track is really good to walk on but it is not that wide so you can only walk beside one person at a time. It is a long drive from Hokitka to get to the gorge, maybe half an hour, but it is worth the drive.

I think this activity is very wholesome and nice as you get to share one of your favourite places. Your favourite summer place looks beautiful, I was actually fortunate enough to be able to see the gorge when I lived in the south island and it is such a beautiful place to walk through.
You are so lucky to be able to live so close to it, have you visited it often this summer? Maybe next time you visit you can take some photos of you there and add them to this post!
