Here is my dolphin pixel art.  Mum helped me with it.  I found this a bit hard to do and it was hard to decide on what to draw.  I saw hectors dolphins this week and so I decided to draw one jumping through the waves.  They are quite little dolphins. It was cool doing something new and seeing the dolphins and now it is something new to draw with the pixels.

These are good songs to listen to in the car, outside when you just want to relax or bounce on the trampoline.  They are catchy songs and good to sing along too.  Most are country singers because I like country music.

In New Zealand our summer holidays are from the middle of December until the end of January.  We have Christmas and New Year in our holidays

People like to travel to different places in New Zealand to holiday.  The weather is hot and so people do a lot of swimming and exploring at beaches, lakes and rivers.  Some people spend a lot of time with friends.  People love to spend time in nature because it is so nice in New Zealand.  We have awesome bush and scenery.

Here is my map! I was at all of these places yesterday! I think this is a great holiday for people to go on.

Akaroa has lots of wild life. They have: Sting rays, (I saw 4. 3 of them were together) Dolphins and Seals. I saw all of these animals! They have great cafes also great shops. I love there beach's. You can also go on a boat and look at dolphins and seals. Its very windy there.

Little Akaloa is a place were my Mum's relations, the Waghorns  had moved from London to Little Akaloa in 1850. Little Akaloa has a lot of farm's. Its got a church and cemetery where lots of our relations are buried.  

Okains bay. When I was little we went there with family and had a lot of fun. I was like 3 so I don't remember us going. Is very windy. We had heaps of fun boogie boarding.  The beach is awesome and sandy.

Here is my camping list. Really like camping. The best thing that I like about camping is the fresh air and exploring.  We were exploring yesterday and found some crabs and 3 sting rays in one spot!

SLJ January 15th Task 1

 

Here is my rock stack but instead of rocks there is shells. I wanted to make it out of shells because we are on holiday at Akaroa beach and found a lot of shells in one spot. We think that some one has gathered them all. I only built 2. I found making the stack easy up to this height, but if I tried to make it higher it would all fall over. The shells are shaped like Narwhal horn thingy. Not the easiest to stack with, but fun at the beach.

Here is my song that Mum and I wrote.  It reminds me of when you are tip toeing in the morning trying not to wake people up.  It reminds Mum of walking through the bush on a sunny day.

Here is my summer collage. I have the beach because it is hot and you normally go to the beach. I picked flowers because some flowers bloom in the summer. I picked watermelon because I love it and we normally eat it in the summer. I also picked smoothie's because they are cold and they make me think about summer. I picked red panda because they are cute and you can see them better in the summer and relax because it is the time of year when you can relax.

This is my poem with my summer sounds included.  We are having a wet summer so far, so I could hear rain mostly.

Here is one of my favourite summer places close to where I live.  It is the Hokitika Gorge.  I like taking my friends or family members there if they come and visit.  The track is really good to walk on but it is not that wide so you can only walk beside one person at a time.  It is a long drive from Hokitka to get to the gorge, maybe half an hour, but it is worth the drive.

These are my Te Reo words that I learn't today. I think that it is funny because vanilla and vanilla(this one is in Te Reo) are the same. My favourite one is Panana.

Here are all the stars that me and mum tried out. I couldn't get any to look like it but mum got a few. Mum and I found the small one the easiest.

Here is my cup and saucer.  I wasn't sure what a saucer was at first but I asked Mum and she showed me.  My schoolmates have showed me how to do half the cup and saucer before.  It was kind of hard to learn how to do this Whai.

This is My art piece and I think that it looks amazing in a funny way. Her name is Shiela. I have done the strawberries as ears, the tomato as a nose, the watermelon as a mouth, cup cakes as the eyes, carrot peels as the hair,  and finally avocado as the face.

 This is my UV indicator.  When it is sunny the weatherman tells us the UV number for the day.  This tells us the level of dangerous sunburn we could get.  Green is level 1 and 2 and this is ok, not much sunburn.  Purple is higher than 11 and you need full protection from the sun and you should probably just stay inside in the middle of the day.

 This is the fake image that I found the easiest. My score is 12 right and 6 wrong. I found it the easiest because the boy has green hair!!!
